I just wanted to thank you for the organisation of our tour of Turkmenistan. It was nice to meet you at your office in Ashgabat. Thank you also for your quick response and answer to my questions. Anna and I have enjoyed our 5 days in Turkmenistan very much. It was amazing to see the desert, the gas crater, the historical sights and of course your capital, a very unique city in the planet. Entry and exit of Turkmenistan border was very smooth and easy. Please thank again our guide. She was helpful during all of our itinerary, and provided us with many information about your country and the different places we visited. The 3D views she had of Merv, Konya Urgench and old Nisa were very helpful to try to imagine how were these buildings in the past. Our different drivers were also very professional. Maybe we'll speak again when we will plan a future Turkmenistan visit, with the sights we have not seen yet, and maybe see the future development of Ashgabat!

Turkmenistan is truly one of the last frontiers, appealing for its nature and history, yet only seldom travelled. Turkmenistan is an astonishing country, a country of great contrasts and unlike any other country in the world. Travelling through the country as individual travellers remains challenging and therefore the support of a local travel agency is highly recommended, especially for visiting areas other than Ashgabat. We have used and highly recommend Ayan Travel in this respect.

I booked a 10-day tour with Ayan travel in spring 2016 and everything worked smoothly from start to finish. I appreciated the great attention to details with which Ayan responded to my (many!) emails and the fact they were accommodating of my specific requests, such as the desire to visit out-of-the-way geothermal areas in the country. Turkmenistan itself was a fascinating country: having visited more than 150 countries, I was struck by just how unique the place is, even by central Asian standards, and its many treasures would take months to explore. The scenery is dramatic, the weather wonderful, the people very friendly and even the food catered for vegetarians such as myself. A wonderful experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ayan Travel to anyone considering visiting beautiful Turkmenistan

For planning our trip to Turkmenistan we could not follow any recommendation or advice as noone we know has ever been there. For getting the necessary support from a local travel agency we just gave it a try and sent a request by mail to AYAN TRAVEL, upon which we got an immediate and comprehensive reply. Thus, from the very beginning we were impressed by this agency. Subsequently Musa Babajanov, our contact person, was responsive to all our wishes and patiently adapted the itinerary to our repeatedly modified plans. Throughout he replied to our mails within shortest time and accurately prepared the entry formalities. Equally, the 11 days-trip itself, including accommodation and transport, went smoothly and without any complications. We were accompanied by a perfect German speaking guide and additionally we had several local guides and drivers. All staff we met was friendly, timely, accommodating and complied with our wishes. It was even made possible to modify the itinerary spontaneously to take an unforeseen opportunity. There was nothing to criticise and we can fully recommend AYAN TRAVEL and its services for a visit to this beautiful, diverse and multifaceted country with a rich history. Nous avons donc tous les deux visité les cinq pays qui composent l'Asie Centrale en deux mois, des pays tous différents mais avec de nombreux points communs. Ces pays sont très différents de l'image que nous en avons en Occident. Des populations accueillantes, une réelle hospitalité, une tranquillité qui est très agréable à vivre au quotidien. Parmi tous les pays, le Turkménistan est celui qui nous a beaucoup plu car il y a une part d'histoire et de culture et une part de paysages magnifiques. Votre agence est remarquable car malgré les ennuis ( retard d'avion...) vous avez toujours su vous adapter et modifier le programme en nous associant. Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre voyage avec vous. Batyr est un guide remarquable tant sur le plan professionnel que humain, il aime son pays et transmet son plaisir d'être fier du Turkménistan. Je pense qu'il y aura de plus en plus de touristes français qui demanderont à venir visiter votre pays. Il faut continuer de former des guides qui apprennent à parler le français. Je trouve que la formule de passer par une agence est normale car il ne faut pas que les touristes se promènent n'importe où et qu'ils qu'ils puissent manquer de respect aux habitants. C'est important que les touristes apprennent et comprennent l'histoire du Turkménistan. Nous avons un petit regret c'est d'avoir constaté que certains sites historiques (Old Nissa fortress, Merv, Gonour..) ne sont pas suffisamment protégés. Ce sont des sites magnifiques, très anciens, qui constituent le patrimoine du Turkménistan et il faudrait mieux les protéger et mettre encore davantage en valeur toutes ces richesses archéologiques. Au sujet du tour avec votre agence, je pense que proposer une excursion avec les magnifiques chevaux akhal-téké serait une bonne initiative ; par exemple deux à trois jours en dormant dans une yourte... Le chaufeur Aslam qui nous a accompagnés dans le désert du Karakoum a été très bon sur tous les plans. Je peux répondre, en anglais, à des questions précises si vous le souhaitez. Vous avez compris que nous avons adoré voyager dans votre beau pays avec votre agence et si vous voulez que je publie sur un site mon commentaire il n'y a aucun problème pour que je le fasse. Vous pouvez utiliser ce commentaire sans aucun probléme. Une dernière remarque: les tapis turkmènes sont les plus beaux mais comme j'ai commencé par votre pays je ne le savais pas encore!
