Although Turkmenistan was considered a closed country for many years, the country’s government has made significant efforts to develop the hotel sector of the economy. Comfortable luxury 5-star world-class hotels were built in Ashgabat and other large cities of the country.
On the other hand, relatively inexpensive hotels that were opened during the Soviet Union still operate in Turkmenistan. In terms of comfort, such hotels are inferior to modern ones, but they provide the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of post-Soviet Central Asia.

Camping

However, it’s worth noting that these creatures typically shy away from human interaction. As of now, there haven’t been reports of hikers being stung or bitten, indicating a relatively low risk. Nonetheless, exercising caution and staying informed about your surroundings is advisable to ensure a safe and enjoyable desert experience.
