One of the central historical events of 2023 in the country became the large-scale celebrations held on June 29 on the occasion of the opening of a new city of national significance, Arkadag. The commissioning of this unique city is a concrete result of the grandiose transformations launched in Turkmenistan.
The new city, built in one of the oldest corners of the Turkmen land, where the glorious history of ancestors originates, is an illustrative sample of a smart city, in which digital, information and communication, and green technologies are integrated into its life.
The best traditions of national art of building and modern trends in architecture and design are harmoniously combined here. The created complex infrastructure conforming to international standards, including in the environmental sphere, provides optimal comfort and convenience to residents.
Special attention is paid to the actual aspect – ecology. Thus, environmentally friendly materials were used in the construction of facilities. This is evidenced by the fact that Arkadag city was awarded a certificate of accession to the “Development of Sustainable, Green, Climate-friendly Cities with Innovative Solutions in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Region” Project.
