VISA and visa support

The cost of a visa depends on the citizenship of the passport holder, between $50 and $150. All incoming travelers require a visa to enter Turkmenistan. In order to obtain tourist visa all travelers must obtain LOI (Letter of Invitation).

The following is required to obtain the LOI (letter of invitation):

  1. To confirm the final itinerary (travel dates, ports of entry/departure, detailed sightseeing)
  2. To complete the LOI application form (we send you by email)
  3. To provide a colored scan of the passport (photo page with all details and photo must be clearly visible)
  4. To provide a scan of colored passport-type photo (3×4)
  5. Payment of non-refundable deposit of $55 per traveler at the time of application for LOI (the amount will be deducted from total cost of the tour package)
  6. Travelers intending to enter Turkmenistan on their own (foreign) vehicles are encouraged to contact our office for comprehensive information and guidance regarding foreign vehicle taxes

The standard processing time for the LOI is typically between 14 to 18 business days. Once you have received the scanned copy of the LOI, you can proceed to obtain your visa from any Turkmenistan Consulate/Embassy worldwide or upon arrival at the airport or land borders, provided they present the printed copy of LOI.

Additional Information: PCR test

Upon arrival in Turkmenistan, all travelers (including Turkmenistan nationals) are required to undergo a PCR test, regardless of their vaccination status. The cost of the PCR test is $33 and is not included in your tour package.
